With the introduction of 'mini beasts' into the school curriculum it has become vital that small children have safe access to a dipping pond. We know that many schools have existing ponds which are old, unsuitable or in urgent need of a facelift, and others don't have ponds but have a small area of unused land which would be ideal for the creation of one.

Aqua Tecture have been working with a growing number of schools to help them utilise the valuable unused and under used land assets they already have.

Together we build outdoor class rooms and activity areas that are tailor made to the individual schools requirements. 

The first step in developing any area is to determine what the actually requirements are then devising a plan that details the items and activities needed to meet those requirements. 

We at Aqua Tecture work with the pupils and teachers, often through the school council in interactive planning sessions, to devise the plan to meet the schools requirements. 

We also know that budgets are tight. That why we don't charge for developing the plans with you. We are happy to work with you over the years to see the whole work come to fruition. However, most schools are surprised by how far we can stretch their available monies.

And its not just environmental areas that Aqua Tecture build. As more and more time is being spent out of the classroom, we build complete outdoor environments geared for learning.

Where ever possible, we try to get the children involved the the creation of the area as well. This can take the form of helping with the planting, painting or even fund raising. 

The more the children are engaged with the development, the greater the sense of ownership

A big problem that schools have is in keeping the areas up to scratch over the years. You can't always rely on hard pressed premises managers or the goodwill of the PTA to keep these valuable assets in good repair. That why we provided a maintenance service tailored to you needs to keep the areas in use 12 months a year.
